Tiny teardrop trailer can tackle any terrain

If you love teardrop trailers but are worried about hauling a camper on bumpy dirt roads to remote campsites, look no further than the compact Moby1 XTR.

Created and built in Utah, the Moby1 Expedition Trailers were originally designed as teardrop trailers that were light enough to be towed behind a motorcycle. The XTR model is larger than that—although check out the Moby1 C2 for a motorcycle trailer—but its compact and smart design still maximizes on space.

The XTR includes an interior queen bed and locking maple cabinetry to hold all of your clothing and gear, with an outside open-air cooking galley set under a large awning. The rear galley comes with a range of options, including a stereo, refrigerator, sink, water heater, stove, shower, cabin heater, and air conditioner. The trailer can also be outfitted with solar panels, a roof rack, a rooftop tent that sleeps 4, and even side awning walls to create a larger, tented living space.

A lot of those amenities can be found on many teardrop trailers, but where the Moby1 XTR really excels is in its off-road capabilities. Built with a custom heavy-duty steel frame and independent trailing A-arm coil sprung suspension, the XTR’s all-terrain tires and 24-inch ground clearance can handle even the rockiest backcountry roads.
